The Diceman Theme Tune and Lyrics Download the theme tune in zip format here. Russell writes.... A lot of people ask us about our theme tune so here's the low down......... Whilst out on the road filming for the first series Shaun and I were hitchhiking to a Highland Gathering in Scotland when we were picked up by James Geary. James proceeded to play us excerpts from his band's tape that he just happened to have in the car. He asked us if we wanted any music for The Diceman and so that's how it came about, by pure chance. But that's what The Diceman is all about! James Geary takes up the story...... Phud came into existence at the beginning of 1996 when five University students got together for a jam. A couple of hectic years of song writing and gigging followed whilst also trying to concentrate on our degrees. The makers of The Diceman expressed an interest in the band to provide the music for the show. We sent them a demo tape of music specially written for the show and shortly after, ended up in a studio recording the music for the series. Life after The Diceman has been very busy playing Universities around the country, supporting the likes of Tin Tin Out, The Dust Junkies and the Candyskins. The Summer of 98 (there's a song in there somewhere!) also saw the recording of an E.P. (Special) which should be right up your street if you liked Throw the Dice (the theme to Diceman), having a feel-good vibe with loads of energy. With a bit of luck the wonderful people in the A&R departments of record companies across the country will like it too, as we're using the E.P. as our promotional tool in an attempt to get ourselves signed!
