What can I say? Your program is almost perfect. I have not always the time to watch it because of various business, but I really think it is the best program I can watch on Discovery Channel. I guess you will not really stop that as soon as you will realize how many people love your show and your work. And you have to go to the discovery of the "small America" going through the whole States randomly, from one coast to the other. I bet thousands of people would enjoy to make this random travel with you, and it should be wonderful if you could even have a longer program. I am Italian, but as a lot of them I love the States. I am trying to move there to reach my girlfriend, and I really hope to meet you down the street in Long Island. All my compliments to you two....

Just wanted to say that my wife Raigh and I have enjoyed watching your show "The Diceman" on the Travel Channel in the USA. I am a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and having served 20 years so far I have seen a bit of the world as well. I am currently stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, I know it is paradise, but I enjoy watching shows like yours on the Travel Channel. It is a way to get off the island for a few minutes without the huge expense. I really enjoyed series III, because before coming here I was stationed at SHAPE HQ Mons, Belgium, just south of Brussels. It was a chance to return to a lot of the places we have been to. We were also to most of the places you visited during series IV. They haven't shown series I or II yet, but I hope they will in the future. I will e-mail the Travel Channel and ask if they have the rights to these two series to please air them. Unfortunately, they are owned by the Discovery Channel, so I doubt, from what you said that they will back more episodes of your show. I will, however, e-mail them and suggest it. Your show has the most unique twist of any travel show I have ever seen. The only ones that come close are Michael Palin's trips and Bill Bryson's books on his jaunts around Europe and the UK. To just go where the dice and people's inputs take you is such a novel idea and a bit daring. I wish I had the money and guts to do that. Russell is a fantastic host or presenter as you say in the UK and Shaun is obviously a great friend to Russell and a damn fine camera man. If I had the money I would back your show and wouldn't mind going on a few of your trips. As for new inputs I think you could use your dice for the lats and longs and start from wherever that takes you, even if it is in the middle of the ocean, Antarctica, or the North Pole. Also, you could start the trip from the Equator, possibly from Africa, since Russell sort of grew up there.Well, I really hope that you find a new backer for your show and I hope they show it in America. Last week I was off work with the flu which I obtained from one of my children, however being faced with a whole week of crap daytime TV I was intrigued when I stumbled across the Discovery channel and found the "Diceman". I watched the rest of that program and was delighted to find out its was more than just a one off, I have watched it every day since and have spent most of this morning boring all my staff with details of the show, we are now going to use the dice at work to decide who will get the drinks etc. Well done to you both it's a fantastic show and long may it continue, also I have lived in Crowborough for 14 years !

I use to be the photographer for the television show The "Outdoor Sportsman" that was syndicated in the United States and Canada. I can appreciate all the work that goes into each show. I ve been watching the show now for about a year and am stunned that the Discovery channel are not commisioning anymore . Maybe the shows a little bit ahead of its time in the sense that the viewers absolutely love it, but the" powers that be" cant get there heads around it yet . The concept is brillant , the way its done is brilliant, Russell is humorous, interesting and natural with people, I honestly believe if it were given prime time viewing it would storm the ratings. There's a big wide world out there and someone somewhere should see the Dicemans potential !!!. I'm curently enjoying episode 4 The Diceman USA and hope there will be more shows made. best wishes

My boyfriend and I both think your programme is great. It's such a refreshing change to the more formal travel programmes and as well as showing us around some interesting places, you also give us quite a laugh! We think the idea behind the show is so great that we are thinking of doing our own 'dice' tour when next we are overseas. At least we know we'll never get bored. The programme is now on Discovery at 6:30pm, having taken over from the sexy Anna of Walker's World. I think your show is awesome. I watch it when I come home from show every weekday. Letting your journeys be decided by the rolling of a dice kicks ass. I would make only one minor change though. I would add a third member to your team. An American college student, like myself, would add a new element to the show. I could be your and Shaun's sidekick during the trip. It would introduce a new, younger audience to the show and I'm a very fun guy to hang with. I'm a history major so I know a lot of stuff about historical places. Just a thought, because I think it would be great to be a part of your travels. Thanks

"I watch TV a lot.I have many favourite programmes.One of them is "THE DICEMAN". This programme is shown on Discovery channel at 9.30 a.m. and 9.30 p.m. on Discovery travel & adventure. The DICEMAN is about travelling to villages and cities. The programme is presented by Russel and Shaun. Russel has a big sense of humour, he wears fany clothes (orange trouser...). Shaun is a cameraman but sometimes he appears in front camera. This programme is very interesting and very nice. You have, far and away, the best show on television. I discovered it while home sick with the flu. Now that I have recovered I tape both episodes while I am at work all day, then watch them as soon as I walk in the door. I guess I live vicariously through the dicemen, but you have definitely inspired me to take to the road with my wife when I finish grad school. Your way with people of all races and walks of life is so natural, it's really what makes the show. Be sure to make more episodes...by whatever means necessary. I will be sure to lobby on your behalf and e-mail the Discovery Channel. When you DO start another season (we have to be confident), hopefully the dice will find you back stateside. If you are ever in Iowa (where I am now) or the NYC area (specificially, Yonkers, NY, where my family is from), be sure to get in touch if you need food, lodging, or just a couple of pints. I have been watching your show for about a month and just love it. I am starting to go into repeats, but that is OK, you guys are never boring. My boys (twins-5) have started using the dice when they decide on what they should do or what game they play. They love the show as much as I do. I am sad that discovery will not go on any longer. It is truly their loss. I have started recording the shows so that when it goes off the air, I will have them for when I need a vacation. I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely love the show!I watch it everyday, twice a day! I happened to be watching it yesterday, and it was when you and Shaun were in the Grand Canyon. You rolled the "dice" and had your energy read by the lady. When she went down your back, and told you she felt stress there, and you said you had a tumor on your spine that was removed there, I was overcome with emotion. I have enjoyed watching long before I found this out, and just felt so much love for you after. I hope all is well with you, and continues to be. Did this show have anything to do with that at all? I felt after I watched it, that maybe you had done this, so you could see things that you might have not seen in your life time. Well, hope you continue with part 5 of the "Diceman" you are a very lively man, and give alot to television! Great viewing, all the family love the Diceman including my three year old daughter. We cant believe that discovery don’t want any more programs - they probably don’t want original and informative TV shows any more and they settle for showing any old crap. To fans of the Diceman all over the world - get together and e mail your complaints to Discovery Channel and see if we can get them to rethink and get the best programme on TV a new series.

I want you to know that your show is the greatest! I even watched it this morning instead of ESPN; that is unheard of. I caught your show on the Travel Channel during the Christmas holidays. My brother is a Travel Channel freak and so I had seen Alby and others, but your show is the best. I have been hooked ever since. I tape both shows every day and watch them when I get home from work. I can't believe you were so close to Roswell, New Mexico and missed us. You know Roswell is the home of the 1947 alien crash! You can come in one of the new series. I couldn't believe when I got to your page and saw that there weren't anymore shows planned. I had written the Travel Channel last week and told them how great the show was before I came to this site and saw the disturbing news. I will write again. In the meantime, let us know how the best way to help would be. I'll do what I can. The only good part is that I haven't seen Series I or II since I just started watching recently. So I'm looking forward to it. By the way, Great haircut! It is just like mine. I do, however, have a gotee. So if you ever need a third or have a contest to let someone travel with the Diceman for a week or two, let me know; I'm ready! keep up the great work. There are too few good shows on TV as it is.

I have watched your show numerous times on the Travel Channel which I receive via cable hookup in Queens, New York. I find it an ingenious concept for a travel program due to its unpredictability if for no other reason. I was also delighted to witness your excursions in the USA. Driving in Florida really is a bargain, isn't it? May I politely suggest that when you ask six people for a suggestion of what to do next, and one suggests a mundane pursuit i.e. bowling or getting a cup of coffee, that you skip skip them and ask someone else. After all, if the other five utter things on the order of: go to the museum, whale watching, etc. that is far more interesting to your viewers than bowling in Berlin. All the same, your show is a pleasure, and I hope the two of you journey to more exotic locations in the twenty first century.

I have become a fan of your show over the past few months, and am sorry to hear that Discovery will not be continuing to air it. It is a lot of fun to watch, unlike a lot of their shows that can be somewhat dry. I will be e-mailing them letting them know of my views on this, and hopefully with other fans e-mailing them we can keep you on the air. Keep up the good work, your show is an absolute joy to watch. Shaun is very mysterious about his past, but it has been very colorful. Shaun ran away with the flea circus when he was just 11 years old. His job was to put little, tiny shoes on the dancing fleas right before their performance. He later graduated to stagehand and even got to direct an episode of "Flea, for your life!" Being bitten by the the performance bug, Shaun ventured out on his own. He spent three years pulling the wiskers off crawfish for seafood gumbo to support himself wilst he looked for a job in entertainment. All this hard work paid off with a steady hand and a directors flair. Shaun's job as cameraman and director with "The Diceman" was a perfect match. Russell and Shaun you deserve to have this show go on. Let me know how I can help. I am willing to write letters to the network, contact sponsors - or make up stories about Shaun's past - to help keep this show going. (For self serving reason's of course- I can't watch and enjoy if the show is not on).

I have just moved from a very nice area in the Southern California area called Manhattan Beach and relocated to the city of Clovis , A little town east of Fresno Calif that boasts cowboy spirit. I have a horse and the episode when you were in Colorado really touched me , because you got to see the beauty of living life from horseback when you are secluded. I really don't remember the exact episode, because I work graveyard shift and by the time I get to see you on your show, I am getting groggy by then. Anyway, i am glad you got to see the beauty of the backlands, and i hope you felt the "Spiirtual cleansing" that I feel when i ride my beautiful companion "RANGER" in the surroundings that only God can provide. Mabye we will cross paths some day and be able to ride and appreciate the things that most people take for granted. P.S. I hope your show will continue and the dice will roll again ..... Until we can ride and have a few pints in the sunset of the Sierra's, take care...

Thanks for the USA series, I loved it. As with your previous series you have taken me where I can't get to at present. I am waiting for a heart and lung transplant at present so am stuck in doors much of the time. After the op, though, the first thing I am going to do is by a dice and a rucksack.
