Russell and Shaun want to hear what you really think!
E-mail us at whim@diceman.co.uk

Hello Russell & Shaun,
I have watched all of the Diceman episodes, and many of them twice or even three times. I am Karl and im 22 years old. I feel like when i watch your show, im there with you, from the minuite the theme tune hits untill the credits role. I like to travel like you, and have been to many places arround the world (No where near as many as you), so when im not traveling im traveling with you. Your show is very cool, and should continue for ever. I have many friends that come arround and watch "The Diceman" at my house. I play in a band called Clear Vision, and all of the band members like Phud, and we play the theme tune in our warm up before gigs. I am a big rugby playing man, and if you ever need a co presenter, call me. We can make a new program "Dice & Fatman!" (LOL). Just a thought, keep up the good work, and im eargerly awaiting the new programs. Diceman forever.
Karl Reid, Cuxton, Kent, England

Hi Russell and Shaun,
The diceman is an excellent travel program watch it all the time as well as repeats, another series of the diceman required. Your coverage of the Isle of Man TT was excellent, by the way I was the shell tanker driver that passed you at ballacraine at this time we did not recieve sky digital . Since then I watch all episodes and if I ever see yourself or shaun next time your lift is guaranteed, (ps I now work for a rival oil company).hope you do another series, maybe the people we pay for our tv licence will give you a show at peak time. All the best Russell and Shaun,
G.C.T, Isle of Man

Hi Russell and Shaun!
How are you doing? Just dropping a quick email to say that I think the show is classic! Perhaps it should be broadcast on BBC or one of the other more widely viewed networks? I think the more recognition you get would enhance your chances of getting a lift the next time you are hitch hiking! I'm looking forward to the day when I spot 2 guys (one in a blinding pair of shorts and Timberlands) at the side of the road thumbing away. It would be a pleasure to give you a lift and help in producing such an interesting program. Keep up the good work lads.
Steve King

Dear Russell and Shaun,
Just been watching you on TV ad thought I would have a look at the Web Site. I have been watching The Dice Man for a couple of years now, but with all the repeats on running during the day I get a bit lost were you are! Is there a NEW Dice Man coming soon? I HOPE SO! I'm going back to college in September (2000) to try and start a care in the media world as a camera man, so if Shaun becomes a bit old and tried of his job, please Russell, e-mail me!!!!!!!! Well I will let you get back to your fun, because you look like you enjoy yourself. Take care,
Neil Wright, Hanwell, London

Hi Russell,
Could you tell me if there is going to be a new series of the Diceman, I have seen every one of all the last series, and the last one In America was the best yet. I know that one would be hard to beat, but how about 'The Diceman Down under', If there isn't to be any more Diceman, what will your next project be?
Paul Needham

Hi Russell and Shaun,
I am just enquiring if your show is going to released for sale on video, I have seen almost all of your shows but as the Discovery Channel likes to keep repeating the same shows what seems to be over a 4 week pattern at the moment (which is not such a bad thing, we still get to watch the show). My son and I are glued to the screen when the show is on (as I informed you in a previous email - on the fan page) and now my 18 month old son is getting a little bit interested in the show, so you must be doing a fantastic job. We all hope that you can get the show back on the air at some stage and in some form, Discovery Channel are just plain fools!!! If there are any future plans to sell the programmes as videos please let me know. Many thanks for a great show
Jason, Connor & Jakob Cheeseman

Guys,
I Love the show, and the concept behind it, because it realy gives the viewers a chance to see how other people from around the World spend their time. Also, i like the way in which it combines lessons about the different cities that you visit, for example, about edinburugh castle, and the statue of liberty. I have to say, you are truly some lucky guys, getting to go around the world, to see the 'wonders' that it holds, and get paid for it, at the end of the day! Just a short note to say that I LOVE the Diceman show and would like to know if there is a new series? Ta...
Robert Wilsdon

Hi Russell & Shaun,
I've been off work on the sick for the past couple of weeks and I caught your diceman travel series in the USA. I have to say how brilliant it is and how it gives you the travel bug! Thanks guys it really cheered me up! When will the next series be out and where will you be travelling to? Best Regards and keep up the good work!,
Dave Calvert

Just wanted to let you know how much i've enjoyed your show. I live in the states and because of the Travel Channel's decision to pull it out of their lineup my days just aren't the same...i plan to keep bugging them to pick the show back up. Please continue to make more Diceman series and perhaps another network would pick it up...also a video package would be great!! Your show along with Adventure Bound is the best series on their network, i can't believe that they chose to pull it out of their lineup...unfortunately for all of us fans it's our loss. Drink some pints for me......
Andrew

Just finished watching the final episode of the Diceman in the USA. Excellent series as are all the others. Let`s hope the roll of the dice brings us another series. Thanks for entertaining me every night at 10pm
Chris, UK

Dear Russell and Shaun,
Both of you guys do a great job bringing the world to our living rooms. What is amazing to me is how 'up' you manage to stay - nothing gets you down it seems. I like your philosophy on life and only hope that one day I will have enough courage to embrace life and its choices with such courage and good humour. I hope that Discovery will not let your viewing public down and will agree to another series of Diceman - TV will certainly be a lot less interesting without the programme. Happy rolling
Linley Collins, Scotland, U.K.

Shaun & Russell,
Thanks for a really good show..........we miss it being on..........hopefully that'll change.........either way........good luck........God Bless.........and Cheers!
John (USA)

CARL HARDING taxi driver in GT YARMOUTH

Hello,
just a quick note to say how great I think your show is, it makes you want to do things and get away from the mundane 9-5 thing! You should make more or longer episodes even if it does mean you have to spend longer on the road!! Lastly I was pleased to see the theme tune download but was horrified to hear that it is only halk of the actual song, whys that, the best bits missing, you know the larrr la la la larrr la la bit!!!All the best,
Ian

My wife and I realy enjoy your program very much. Can you tell me when a new series will be starting. Althow we watch the repeats we would realy like to see a new series on tv. We both think that it is a very interesting program and very entenaining.keep up the good work Hello to Shaun as well
From Tim at Swinton South Yorkshire

Dear Russell & Shaun,
There are many places you have been on your travels that I want to visit! Seems I would need a life time! In Series 3, Episode 3, Day 4 you were pointed in the direction of the Gardens of Ghia - a woodland full of sculpture. I think you had been in Tunbridge Wells the day before, but I have been trying to find info on the garden for ages! Please, please, please can you tell me exactly where to find it as I would love to go there! Help!Hope to hear back from you. Cheers,
Andrea

Hi Russ, Shawn,
always watch the show but keep getting shown repeats, when is there a new series...
Richard Owen

Hi Russell/Shaun,
I recently went digital and on remoting I often saw "The Diceman" and (rather boringly) didn't view. One night I thought I would take a look and see what this was all about - and, you guessed it - I am completely and utterly hooked! I noticed last night (Wed 30/8/2000) your web address and first thing this morning at work I logged on. I just want to let you know that I find the programme so fascinating. I don't think ANYONE knows what is out there in the UK. I have never been to Scotland or indeed anywhere that has so far been visited in your first series, which, by the way is showing on Travel & Adventure on the Discovery Channel. I did in fact once go to the Isle of Man, missed all buses out of Douglas and spent the day wandering up and down the sea front, I was married at the time to the most boring bloke so that didn't help very much so I got shot of him and now am able to go where I please job permitting. So Russell and Shaun keep up the good work (wish I could get a job like yours!) and I will watch you every evening til the endof the series and look out for any further series with anticipation. By the way it helps that you are both very good to look at - have you got any more Turkish Baths to visit by any chance!!!
Marion Sherwood

Dear Russel and Shaun,
I'm a regular viewer to your show and I think it's brill. I look forward to more episodes, keep up the annoying laugh????
TONY POOK FLEETWOOD LANCASHIRE

Hi Russell and Shaun,
Well until I found this site (only just got hooked up) I thought I was the only one watching! I have been telling my friends about the show for ages. It is quite simply the best. I love travel programmes, they bring the world to your living room, but your program seems more personal and humourous than any others. I am soooo envious of you! If you need a tea boy let me know. Unfortunately, I have only seen about a dozen or so shows because a) of the ridiclous scheduling b)I am a dunce with the video recorder and c)my job. My favourite episode has to be the one in Charleston, it looked absolutely gorgeous. I love the States and am off to the NE US this year. As so many of the other fans I think the Beeb should commmision a show like this, it is so much better than those sterile holiday programs they come up with, usually presented by no-brainers who have become famous from some other sterile documentary. Russell your commentary is just excellent, the idea is just excellent and Shaun ...well.... When I finally get round to seeing the remaining shows I will want more, Africa, Australia, Japan, India etc. I will do my bit to bombard Discovery. I think you have motivated me to get out there along with the other people on you fan page. At 28 I am planning a round the world journey with my girlfriend to take place in 2001/2. I wish there was someway I could contact the other like minded people on this page to get ideas from them - have you thought of this? All the very best - hope to meet you both someday.

Hi Russell and Shaun,
Just had to write. My family love the Diceman and have seen all the series' (some several times). My two little boys Ben(7) and Thomas (3) when we are out walking in the woods etc even pretend they have a dice and say 'Right which path are we going to take - odds this way, evens this way.' We always make sure it's not somewhere where we could get truly lost though. I've just been reading some other messages and can't believe that the powers that be have cut your programme. As has been said before it's got to be one of the best travel programmes on TV (both terrestrial and satellite) if not the best. I just hope they come to their senses and let you continue. Bye for now, Keep up the good work,
Regards Alison Inglis, Nottingham, England

Russell & Shaun,
Like Andy Diamond, I too spotted your Rolex watch, and tried to catch a view of it wherever you went. Did you get it for the series, or was it already attached to your wrist? well, like Andy, I just had to buy one. Exactly the same of course! Now I'm Rolex enabled, have my own dice, and I'm off to see the world. Hope you get a chance to make more series, and good luck with the TV company,
Chris, Leicester UK

Hi Russell & Shaun,
Just finnished watching a re-run of the first series and spotted the web address, so I thought I'd check it out. Double thumbs up from me. Keep up the good work and what about a fifth series? Take care and happy travels,
Billy

Dear Russell and Shaun,
I used to love watching your show, all the places you had been and visited but lately,I think it has just been the present series on Discovery T&E, I have found myself disbelieving your honesty when choosing your destinations. You repeatedly say "it'sall up to the dice" but i'm sure you are rigging it for your own pleasure. For instance you were on a canal boat near Birmingham with a good friendly family and you through the dice to see wether you were staying on or getting off. It was easy to see that you wanted to get off but when the DICE decided that you stayed on,your face dropped and the next scene you had wangled another throw of the dice to see what to do.Eventually you went to Stratford which I was a bit disappointed with as I felt you had cheated. When you first started the show you could see that wherever the dice told you to go you went regardless apart from one scene about a pub which I don't blame you for cheating slightly to get a pint or three, although you did it quite well that your budget man didn't realise.Anyway sorry to moan but you cant help but feel that something is amiss. Have you been given new guidelines to work within? I know obviously you have to keep it exciting to keep your ratings up but please be a bit more truthfull with your viewers because it is getting very tedious of late. despite all this I am still a great fan I hope I still am in the future. take it easy lads,
Tim of Middlesbrough, UK

Hi, just wanted to say that your show is THE BEST on sky digital, I can't believe there is to be no more :O(. P.S Shaun is CUTE!!!!!
Claire, Nottinghamshire UK

Russel & Shaun,
Please make a new series, and include Eastbourne in it again. Try checking out just north of Eastbourne. I've seen you a few times on BBC's "The DIY Show" Thanx,
Nathan Whitington, Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK

Keep em out there, great show!
Roger Houghton

Hello!
My name is Anna, I live in Poland, I watch your programme on Discovery Channel. i like it very much! I don^t know english very good, so you must forgive me, but I have to tell you something: You can come to Poland too, it's really beautiful country

Loved the show whens the next one starting and could you stop off in hungerford (BERKSHIRE) as we have never seen you this way on any of the shows, keep up the great work see you soon.
Deano

Hello Staff,
I am writing to complain about the cancelation of the Diceman. It's bad enough you cancelled the Diceman, but to replace it with Spas of the world and that home show makes it worse. The Spa show is the worst. Every show is the same. The host talks to us with cuccumbers on her eyes and mud all over her body. The only difference is she does this from different locations every week. There is nothing wrong with massages etc. They feel great. Enthralling to watch? No. The "Home" show is also a tranquilizer. What will I find next when I hit channel 60, the dental procedure show? "This week our host Julie gets extensive root canal!" Only here. Only on the Discovery Channel! (By the way I want residuals if that takes off) Sorry, I know I know sarcasm is the lowest form of humor. Seriously though, how about giving old Russel and Shawn another chance at the dice?
Sincerely, Greg Deuerlein

Hiya Russell and Shaun,
Just a quick mail to congratulate you on the prog, i'm addicted to it (sad eh ?!)! Just watching the current series thats being shown on Discovery. All the best and if you're ever down in Hampshire (UK) give us a shout !!
Jon

OHMYGOD! Tell me it's not true, no more Diceman? Do you know, all you lovely people at the Diceman (Yes, that also includes you Russell and Shaun....), you were my sanctuary during my pregnancy? ( Sick as a dog I was, hhmmmm.) I cannot bring up my son, alone in this terrible world. He would have seen the world as a nicer place thanks to Russell and Shaun, that you can ride Harley Davidson's and see alligators and eat a McDonald's all in one day, instead of waving a rattle about and being miserable and windy all day. Anyway, I sent a bewildering e-mail to the Discovery nutters, and told them that they were full of flatulence and other undesirables, and in no uncertain terms that a new series must be commissioned. What the hell went wrong? Is Pol Pot alive and well and working for the Discovery Channel? I encourage the good viewers of the world to unite, and to give the Discovery Channel et al some serious earache. Do whatever! Get Russell and Shaun back on our screens! Yours very upset,
Lisa Brunton, Aberdeen, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I adore your show Its the best thing on the box these days I think Russell has great courage have the time I bet he can't be arsed but he still caries on. Shawn is very funny I don't know if he means to do this but he just cracks me . I watch the show all the time that is if I get up in time for the first showing put if I don't I will watch the repeat. It should be on more than twice a day but what can you do keep up the show Its was a shame you did not get the chance to go to Weymouth because that is an excellent town.
Paul, UK

I'd watch your show everyday at lunch, and now there is some boring show about spa's. YAWN-I'd rather watch old reruns of Rockford Files. Best of luck in getting your show back on again. I'll keep a look out for it, and say a prayer that someone at Discovery networks wakes up. great program keep it going.
Sunley

Is there any current plans to make more shows of the Diceman? Has any other channel decided to start showing the old Diceman shows? I really miss the show. It was so different. Whatever you are doing, I hope you are having as much fun as when you did the Diceman show. Good Luck.
Darrin J. Hartman

Dear Russ and Shaun,
I have to take my imaginary hat off to you guys, what a ace show. I especially enjoyed the diceman show when you guys went on with harleys, with the whole USA thing and all. With the dice choosing where you go the show is the most impulsive and greatest travel and I must say exciting show sky digital can offer. KEEP UP THE GOOD GOING GUYS. You have all my respect and admuration guys. WELL DONE!!!!!!!
Callum, UK

Russell + Shaun,
Just discovered your web page - very useful to have the episode guides ! I can't let this opportunity pass to thank you both for a truly excellent program. I agree with all the other fans who have written to you, we all appreciate the hard work and fun you have put into the series and are desperate for some more. If you got to do more I am sure the world would be a slightly better place for a while, and we could all do with some of that. Many thanks again guys - good luck to you both.
Chris, York, England

Dear Russel and Shaun,
I would just like say what a wonderful job you are doing .Your programme is the best thing on the box these days its even more fun than watching England play. It is real shame you didn't get to visit Waymouth because it is a very nice place. I watch your show all the time. I would like to see your show on more often but there is nothing you gyes can do about that. Sometimes me and my mates role the dice and do what ever it says just for a laugh and it is very enjoyable keep up the good work and good luck for the future.
Paul Whyatt, UK

Russell,
You are a very special and talented man. I miss your program greatly! What can I do to help? If it would help...I could come to England and walk back and forth in front of the Palace with a sign that said "Bring Back The Diceman!!!" or "Russell and Shaun Rule!!!" or "No Tea Till The Dicemans Back!!"...something like that...I am sure I can come up with something brilliant to picket with :) Sigh...I miss you guys!! I hope you are well... Have a Beautiful Day! Luv&Hugs!
Lynda

I had tears rolling down my cheek when I saw Russell doing the catwalk thing in London. The mask suited you mate. Anyway, just discovered the show and seen probably about 6 episodes. Dogs danglies... original idea and very fresh.. Told me mates about show and they hooked now too... Good luck and I hope that if whoever is in charge of the dosh for this programme see sense and gives you a bigger budget to go further a field (if so you may need a bag man...I'm first in queue..) all the best lads...
Dirk Diggler PS if you think I'm putting my real name here, you got another thing coming...imagine the stick I would get at from mates if they saw this on here!!

Although it sounds hard to believe for someone who has subscribed to loads of additional channels (sky) ,we dont watch much tv at all. However after stumbling across the diceman a year or so ago we started to try and follow the repeats from the start. We are now sadly either watching or taping all the episodes!! , and even our families who never sit and watch 'normal mundane ' travel programmes are now asking for more ! P.s. we have already thought of some ideas of things to do incase, in a future series!, Your dice sends you to shrewsbury. Keep it up , we wish it was us that had thought of the idea.
Ian & jo . Shrewsbury.

I don't know, you get used to something being there and when it's gone it's as if you have had an organ removed. Where in God's name is the Diceman? You guys should get on to one of the terrestrial channels here in the UK. It would make a refreshing change from DIY shows anyway!! I heartily agree with m'colleague about the Cabin Building shows on the Discovery channel!! If they don't want to air you, go somewhere else! The show is great and deserves to be aired!! I certainly wouldn't complain about my TV licence fee being spent on that! Now that the BBC have lost the Premiership Football they have £40 million spare. The perfect budget for your show!! Hopefully I'll see you both soon!! Pip Pip!
