E-mail us at whim@diceman.co.uk

Russell and Shaun,
I miss seeing the programme, are you making a new series? I need some inspiration for some travel and "THE DICEMAN" is definitely the best sort for me. Keep up the good work!!
Paul, Wolverhampton

Hi Russell,
Thanks for all the T.V series's , I've just been watching the U.S.A one and its spot-on. We (wife, kids and my self) are off to Florida soon so it was handy to see what we are letting ourselves in for. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.
Alan Morris, Co Roscommon, Ireland

Hi Russell and Shaun,
I've only just realised you had a Website, after watching repeats of the Yorkshire Moors episode, Can I just say it's an excellant concept, you both get up to so much, and it looks so exciting! I too plan to do my own version of your show, with my brother around America in a 1955 Volkswagen Type 2....If only my Lottery Numbers came out. Great Show!
Andrew Faulkner, Manchester. UK

Hey Diceman, we really like the show, especially the ones in America!!! Keep up the good work.
Best wishes Mark and Toni Robart, Devon

Russell and shaun,
Wanted to write and let you know how i miss the show! Started watching this winter during a bad snow storm , found myself watching everyday after work. Russell your laughter makes my day. Wish i could hear it again!!!
Lara, North Carolina

Dear Russell & Shaun,
Have really enjoyed the series on Discovery as you have gone around the U.K.. On a recent episode shown 11/05/2000 you almost came to our County whilst on a narrow-boat trip BUT you never quite made it. Perhaps if you ever came here again to Worcestershire you should definateley stop here in Bewdley as we were once described as the most perfect Georgian Town in England by Ruskin. There is plenty to see here such as The Severn Valley Railway(Steam Railway), West Midlands Safari Park & some great pubs!!!! We really enjoy the show.
Best Wishes, Steve & Darryl Madeley

I love ya'lls show when are you two gonna have some new episodes and are they gonna have them on the travel channel. please let me know. I got a lot of friends hooked on the show and it stopped playing.my favorite episode is when you went to Texas and helped out at the drive through store. could you come down to my home town of panama city beach florida sometime. I would really like to meet you two. Ya'll are the greatest.
YOUR FRIEND, CHUCK SHANK

We only found you recently after going digital and unfortunately have seen only part of series 1 and the USA trip. That was enough to become addicted - we now carry a dice in the car to resolve those times of "where do YOU want to go?" or "where now?" it's even extending to where to eat out!!! Brings up some very interesting trips though. Great fun. PLEASE get ALL the series repeated and advertised when it's running. Good Luck PS Where next? There's a lot of World out there

Love the show, both my wife and I cant wait for it to come on every night. What is the best place or best thing you have done so far? P.s If you ask me, you fiddled the dice to go down route 66 on a Harley!!!!!! P.s.s. Try to get to New zealand and Australia if you do another series (It would be a good place) Good luck to both of you.
From your biggest fans in Oldham David and Julie

Russell and shaun,

Hello!!! My name's Maria and I'm from Russia. Recently I began to watch your programms and wanna thank you for them. You've opened new world for viewers.Keep doing it!!! Thanks for wonderful material about UK!!! It helps me in my work a lot!

Hi there Russel and Shaun.
I had to e-mail you to tell you how much I love The Diceman. I first watched the show after reading about it in my programme guide about 6 weeks ago, and was instantly hooked. Here in South Africa on satellite TV we're still only getting the first and second seasons, and they seem to get repeated a lot. I really loved your visit to Greenland when you stayed there for about a week. My Mom (I introduced her to the show, knowing she'd love it because of your exploration of the UK) and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was, and the surroundings when you went on the dog-sledges were magical. We're really looking forward to the 3rd and 4th seasons (I read a couple of days ago on your website that they take place in the US!), and wish you the best of luck with the show. Hopefully you can continue with many more adventures and explorations of beautiful and interesting countries.
Nick

I can't believe it! I finally find a show that captures the thrill and romantic adventure of travel as well as the call of wanderlust so many of us have answered, and the geniuses at Discovery Channel take it off the air in the US! our show was inspirational... cathartic even to those of us who work 10 hour days but still dream of grabbing a pack, a bit of cash, and wandering around a foreign land. The Diceman captured a hint of pure escapism while at the same time being funny, educational, and experimental. This is a show way ahead of its time. I've communicated the same to the Travel Channel via Discovery, but received no response other than a non-functional link to some scheduling web page. Dicemaniacs unite! Let's get this superb show back on the air. If there's anything I can do to help, please feel free to contact me! Best of luck,
Greg in Kansas City, USA

Dear Russell and Shaun,
I've been a fan of yours since first seeing you on the travel channel. For over 7 weeks, I haven't been able to find your program, I'd miss my meal before I'd miss your show. Please let me know when you'll be back on and on what station. Thank You,
David M. Huey

Hello Team!
I very much enjoy watching the show each day and I was interested to find where Russell had picked up the idea. I one day want to be in the T.V world of entertaining and you have inspired me more! I very much like your 'Down to earthness', it creates a warmth to us viewers. I hope you can keep the show going, perhaps BBC2 should buy it too. Cheers
James Carpenter, UK

Hi Russel and Shaun
I want to complement you on the show it is defenitly on of the best travel-shows ever made. Not knowing what is going to happen next keeps it interresting. What is also very good is that you explore the city or country as we would, so not with a hole lot of information about the city or country. You find it out along the way. Lots of luck and keep it up Houdoe ( that is goodby in Brabant that is a part of The Netherlands)
Jeroen

Discovery Channel Europe tells me that the show is going to be back on in Europe. Let's keep the pressure on the Travel Channel here in the States and get the Diceman back here too! If you have any clue as to where the dice may take you this time and when you may start your next series let us know.
Dave Tolle, USA

Hey guys!
I miss your show so much! I was obsessed with it when it was on here in the States and went into mourning when I found out it was gone. I would watch religiously at 11 and 1 everyday, even planning my day around it. Keep up the good work, and maybe the powers that be will come to their senses. You guys are the greatest!
Lindsay, Ft. Thomas, KY

Dear Russel and Shaun,

Bernadine Muller

Dear Russell and Shaun,
I really enjoy your show. Lots of love,
Bailey Davies xxx, (Cardiff, Wales)

Hello Russell and Shawn,
Great show with a lot of laughs and interesting things. I would love to do a show like yours here in South Africa as we have a beautiful country and lots of things to show to the world. You should make this show an international show for countries all over the world. All the best, Your fan in South Africa.
Lionel Smith

The Diceman is a fabulous program! My sister-in-law and I spent an entire week watching your show as I was convalescing after the birth of my second child. After that, we were hooked! Thank you for producing quality television. Your personalities and attitudes toward people in all walks of life are highly commendable. It is lovely to see two very nice people on the go and experiencing the world. What a unique idea. My husband has incorporated the dice into most aspects of our daily life. (now that's a bit excessive, don't you think?) We'll stay tuned to the Travel channel for more episodes.
Stephanie Keator, Nebraska, USA

Dear Russell & Shaun,
We've just got to say your show is addictive. Keep up the good work for a very long time. Watched your show based in Keswick and was sitting, screaming (much to the annoyance of my husband Chris & friend Dave) on the couch for somebody to say "Castlerigg". My chants got even louder when lady No4 did actually say Castlerigg. By this time I was jumping up & down on the settee shouting "Give me a 4, Castlerigg" over & over again. You probably think I'm a nutter. Castlerigg is a very special place of mine & I'm actually going there on Tuesday for the Summer Solstice. I'll think of you. Cheers!
Pam (Liverpool)

Hi Guys,
! love the show ! When are we getting another series? I cant wait. Thanks,
Ben: Surrey. UK

Hello.
Really like the show. We think that Braunton (Britain's largest village) should be a choice on the dice. Just dont ask me what to do. You could try waiting for a bus, throwing a huge street party or walk all the way to Saunton sands then come back again. Please can you teach us to master the laugh. Hoooooo Hooooooo Hoooooooo (thats a compliment by the way). How many pairs of shoes do you two get through? Keep up the good work. Bye,
James and Ben.

Hey DIceman,
you are`nt on the Travel Channel any more! Are you and Shaun doing any more programs? It was a great show, sorry to see it go. My brother was in Manchester 2 weeks ago, he said he did`nt see any football hooligans running through the streets, as they have been reporting here in our Orlando newspaper. Did you get to see the motorcycle racing from the Isle Of Man? Good luck with your endeavours, hopefully you can get another show soon.
Allen

A Great Show and thanks to your antics my wife and I have decided to go on a "Diceman Holiday". So far the dice have told us we are going to Norwich and stay in a B&B. All the best for the future for you both. Hope you keep making the shows
Gordon & Von

Hey men!
How yas keepin'? I just want to say that your TV series is the best on at the moment and being a regular viewer I have watched all of your episodes. I am so hooked! Every day I come home from school I watch it. Its so brill! I am 14 and I am from Northern Ireland and I have noticed that most of your fans are from very far away reigons compared to where I am. I have noticed that you were in Ireland (I think) though you haven't been to Bangor, County Down in Northern Ireland. It's worth a visit!! Keep that dice rollin'! Russel, Shaun - you the men!
Paul

First of all, congrats on producing one of the best shows on Sky. Secondly, are there any books or videos available (or maybe in the pipeline) charting your travels, particularly in the USA? I understand that you can't reply to every e-mail, but I would desperately like to get hold of some. Anyway, cheers, and good luck for any future adventures.
Neil, Cardiff UK

Dear Russell and Shaun,
I am a student currently undergoing my GCSE examinations and I think your show is excellent! The first time I ever saw the show was in January '99 when my school was closed with an asbestos crisis. All the days off I discovered how boring day time TV was...that was until I discovered the Diceman! It is a truly excellent show, and I try to watch it as much as possible. I like the idea of you not having a "schedule" (nearly missing the train on Isle of Man, having to walk many miles etc.) I cannot believe you drove a Porsche!!! When the dice told you to go to Newcastle-upon-Tyne I was hoping you to go to Durham as it is a beautiful city, but the dice told you travel to York instead (which is an equally nice city) Best of luck in your future travels and don't lose the dice!
Chris Davies

To Russell and Shaun
i have been watching the show for ages and may i say it is fantastic keep it up
James Roper, Preston, UK

From amongst the thousands of hours of television broadcast by Discovery and the Sky network, The Diceman is without doubt one of the most enjoyable. Its simple but original format is the key to its huge success. The combined talents of its presenter and cameraman prove to everyone what there is to be experienced outside the living room and how much can be achieved with a little friendly persuasion. The variety is a true pleasure and ensures that no two episodes are the same. It is a delight to watch two people genuinely enjoying their adventures which therefore makes it very easy to associate with. A series based in Australia would be very successful and extremely watchable. Whatever the future holds long may The Diceman and the repeats continue. Congratulations and thank you.

I just sent off an email to the Discovery Channel, asking them why we can't find "The Diceman" on the Travel Channel anymore. My family and I have enjoyed this program so much, and, much to our chagrin, haven't been able to find it in the program listings for the Travel Channel, here in New York City, USA. I hope this wonderful show hasn't been cancelled! Please tell me where we can find it, once again. Sincerely,
Mrs. Millie Stapelfeldt

Dear Russell, Shaun and team,
After watching your programmes and visiting your website, I just had to echo all the comments of your many fans. What you give is the chance to see interesting and exciting places all over the world, which is presented in a unique and clever way. I have enjoyed many of your adventures on the Discover channel, and to hear that they have not commissioned another series I feel rather deflated. I don't think they know what they are doing!!! To keep the light burning, why not release a video of your four excellent series, and give all your fans ( which, judging from your fan page, is a very large amount) lasting memories of your exploits. Wishing you all the best.
Richard Goodwin, Winterton, UK

Russell and Shaun,
Caught your show on the telly today for the first time in ages, and then saw the website address so I thought I'd check it out. Me and my brothers have been watching for ages and always look for you when we are flicking channels. Do you have a regular show time at the moment? Also, when you went to Crawley you should have come to Horsham too, it's much nicer! Plus it's always good to see your hometown on TV. Have you been to Chigago? We are going there in the summer and it would be good if we could see you there first! Not likely, but worth a try! Bye then,
Martyn Bryce

Hi Russell.. Hi Shaun!!

Cheers again guys
p.p.s. had to send this "the Dice told me too!!!" Andy and Claire Palmer

Dear Diceman and Shaun,
What a programme, don't stop. I' ve been watching every day since i finished school. You show what travelling and exploring is all about. Your the best chaps on tv.
Chris Staplehurst , Bexhill-On-Sea , East Sussex

Like everybody else who visits these pages I thoroughly enjoy your programmes. Tape them all and then have an orgy of watching them when the wife and kids are out. Simple pleasures 'eh? All those flights, all those hotels. How much cash do you carry or is it a credit card journey? Also why does Shaun never take his hat off? What is he hiding under there? Have you ever been stranded late at night with nowhere to stay? If there is another series I would love to accompany you as rucksack carrier or whatever. You could run a competition and the winner could get to join you for just a few days say?
Howard Jones, Manchester

Dear Russell and Shaun,
I miss your show a lot. It hasn't been on Travel Channel for months. I was great that you where able to live my dream to travel the world. Please get back on the air. Best Wishes,
Ike Haislar

Dear Russell & Shaun
just a short note to let you know that I think that your show is the best travel/adventure show on the telly just wish that I could meet you the next time you visit Edinburgh, keep up the good work.
Steve Donoghue

Hello Russell and Shaun,
I've never written a fan letter in my life before, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy watching the Diceman. I used to do a lot of travelling, but have been struck down with severe muscle pain and fatigue - a condition called Fibromyalgia Syndrome which I've had for over 3 years. Although I'm not totally house bound I don't go very far.... Your programme makes me feel like I'm there with you going to all of those places and meeting all of those people, trying all those different foods and drinks and leisure and sporting activities. And, I especially like the fact that you are following the what the dice tell you to do - not known for my decision making, I have used the dice to make many a difficult decision in my life after being told by someone about the very book which inspired your programme. More please! My good wishes to you both.
Ann Kirk

Hey Russell,
Let me know the e-mail address or phone number for the Travel Channel's viewer relations dept. The line-up now is pathetic - Spas of the world and vacation homes? This letter is about 4 months old - but what the heck? By the way, I like your show HOWEVER - Russel, you often sound like you're having an asthma attack when you laugh. That's my only complaint. Nothing personal. Just let your laugh out. I find myself doing the same thing. Oh well. If you ever get your show back on the ground, you should visit San Diego, CA. We have a lot of beautiful scenery - especially by the beach in summer. I would invite your crew on a ride-along with me (I'm a San Diego Deputy Sheriff) but there is too much red-tape. We could give driver's dice for minor offenses and ask them to role the dice. Odd you get a warning, even you get a ticket. Could be fun. Well chaps, good luck with your show!!
Greg Deuerlein

Hello Diceman and Shaun,
what can I say, bu what a great show. I watch it when I can in the evenings. The one thing I had to tell you is that I recently watched an episode when Russell had to abseil down a cliff where there was surf crashing down below. I really felt for you, and when you cried at the end, well, I was crying, too. You gained my respect, and try not to miis the programme now. Thanks!!
