Page 1.... rolling out This is where you can make your voice heard. Russell and Shaun want to hear what you really think! Really! E-mail us at whim@diceman.co.uk Dear Russell I must tell you, u r so cute! And to think we never knew you were hiding away there on the Discovery channel! I think they should give your show a really good advertising plug, I bet there are loads of people who would really enjoy it but just don't know it! I think it would make a great BBC programme too, up there alongside their dinosaur and nature programmes. I skipped the show for years not realising how great it is! I only happened to turn it on by accident and couldn't be bothered to turn over (sorry, but it's true) but after we watched you in Florida that was it! We will never miss another episode! Keep up the good work, and canvas those TV stations, make them take on your show! (Make them send you somewhere really hot and sunny, we could do with seeing a bit more of the diceman!!!) Love, Kerry x I have just sent a message to the Discovery channel, Russell. I only recently discovered The Diceman and am absolutely hooked. Have you tried asking channels 4 or 5 to adopt the show? You never know! Best wishes, barry lenton (great web site) HI I REALLY LIKE YOUR SHOW Umberto Muoio Italy Hi Russell and Shaun, We are new viewers to your show and are hooked already. when we checked out the website we found that you have been to York and hope to catch a repeat. hope you can start another series soon, Sheila and Dave. York. Hey Guys Its all been said but just to say The Diceman is inside all of us, you just live it. By the way I argued with my wife for 2 and a half series that I thought you were gay, not that it matters, then she found the web site. All the best and shake one for me Ron from Godalming (not a place anybody would suggest for the dice) Dear Russell, All our family continue to watch the Diceman series on the Discovery Channel, as we have not seen them all. Even my friends at work watch the series. It would be a real shame if you not do another series. Why not ask another network? Or, have you already done this? What has happened to Shaun? I recently saw you on a DIY Programme, although interesting its not the same. I wish you well and good luck in your future career. Phill Lamborn dear russell & shaun me & my mum watch your show all the time we think it is great, when we go on holiday this year i will be taking a dice to find out what we will be doing on holiday ,so keep up the good work & have fun. T.Thatcher I tune into the show every night on Discovery travel and adventure . The show is really good and i even one day want to make my own series of the diceman . Keep up the good work . When will Discovery chanell learn that people really like the show and make another series . Adam Davies , Warrington . Hi there We would like to know when more Diceman are coming. We love the show. Nick & Cassy Hey Russell & Shaun Been watching your shows on Lifestyle channel here in Australia. Love the show. Lets have some more. Some of the places you've been are very familiar being from England. How about doing some shows down under? Nick Emerald Vic Australia (formely Surrey England) Hi Russel and Shaun, Just wanted to say how much we (my twin sister and I) enjoy watching your programme and what great guys you seem! We can't believe Discovery havn't jumped at the chance to make a 5th series, they must be mad to give up your show! Just wanted to ask you a question, have you ever changed the decision of the dice? and be honest! It would be nice to hear from you, and lets hope you get to make another series soon! Warmest wishes, Anna and Jennifer. Nr Birmingham, England hi russell and shaun, just like to say its a fantastic show and thankgod its still running here in australia. we are only up to series 3 but its fantastic. its a great way to see things i wouldnt normally see and considering im off to the UK in a few weeks its provided a great insight into non-touristy things i might embark on. Lets hope you can make another series - why not one down here!! Chris from Sydney Dear Russell & Shaun, Iam writing to you from Australia - the place many people call DOWN UNDER. My life revolves around the time slot that your program is on, normally about 4.p.m in the afternoon, but if we miss that I know it screens again at 5.30am in the morning. I was travelling with a friend over in London and Europe a couple of years ago, and that is why I get a buzz watching your show as it brings back many happy memories. It also inspires me to travel to the places we missed. I would be fantastic if the dice would roll you both an opportunity to travel DOWN UNDER as we have many exotic and beautiful places to see. We also have very friendly australians who would like to meet you . Regards, Christine. Central Coast NSW Hi Diceman Team, I just want to say that I absolutely love the show and have been watching it for years, i still watch the repeats on travel and adventure. I would love beyond words to see a new series so please keep on trying. I would also love to get hold of a diceman video or DVD, maybe you could sell them through this internet site!? I am intending to go travelling when i finish college and universtiy and I am intending to use a dice to make my destination decisions, I just hope i can have as much fun as i did watching your show! See Ya Soon Hopefully, Adrian Miller P.S. i have already sent three messages like this but they didnt seem to get printed, probably i was too blind to notice them, please print this one though Dear Shaun n Russell Gota say boys, that with such a simple yet brilliant idea.....i think the only way you may get another series is that if you were to convert the hotel room you stay in into a pink lace number and maybe cook a meal that nobody personally would have time to prepare......Shaun you'll have to master all those new fast moving snappy shots, that go in an out of focus......sorry to say lads, that although "WE" would love another series, Discovery (much like the B.B.C.) are stuck in the same mind set. Good luck lads and hope upon hope we see you again soon Bright Blessings Dave Dawkins Hey Russell, I am from Altrincham, so not far from your neck of the woods - just wanted to say what a great show - I hope you have the rights for the whole idea - as eventhough a new series is in the balance - when one of the big corporations realise what an excellent concept - you will truly gain the recognition you deserve. Once again, thankyou for providing such an insight into so many different cultures in such a humorous way. Regards, Nick Richardson, Altrincham, UK hello russel and shaun i would like to tell you how much my girlfriend and i enjoy your show, As we live in Austrlia we plan one day to visit england and you have pointed out some amazing places we would like to visit. Keep up the good work and i hope you get the next series of the ground thanks again Ken Markham P.S (you have the funniest laugh ive ever heard) Dear Russell and Shaun, Thanks for your e mail - a bit more about us: we are mother and daughter - I am the Mum and Joanna is my daughter. Every morning before Jo goes to work she appears at my door and I KNOW that it is time for the Diceman! We use my gym equipment and indulge in dicing with Russell and Shaun simultaneously. We are then set up for the day, emotionally, mentally and physically... I would like to give Jo the treat of a lifetime for her 30th birthday on 21 June by MEETING YOU. Any chances???!!! We both adore the programme and watch all the repeats. There is a priceless naturalness and charisma (and vulnerability) which is missing from many other travel programmes. Where are you off to next? If you need a couple of helpers we can be available at zero notice. The Two J's Hi Guys, I enjoy watching your show on the LifeStyle Channel here in Australia. Have you thought about releasing your series on video/DVD (perhaps this is an additional source of revenue..?). If you have, how can I get hold of copies ? I would love to see the whole series, but unfortunately cannot always schedule my free time with screening times on the LifeStyle Channel. Anyway, I think the concept is terrific and hopefully you can find further funding/sponsors. Brilliant work. Best Regards, Mike Heidbrink Adelaide, South Australia PS. perhaps you could make a series in Australia. (maybe you could approach the Australian Tourism Commission or the Australian Broadcasting Commission for funding. Surely showing your series about OZ in the UK could help promote tourism !!!! At the moment your Pound buys lots of Aussie Dollars) Good Luck Hello there Just a note from Sydney, Australia - I've been watching your programme (now several episodes under thy belt!) and becoming increasingly addicted! You're making me stay up quite late I might add! But very much well worth it - you were able to take me down a few roads I've travelled before - Snowdonia - ahh....memories...! You're a breath of fresh air - it's natural, light-hearted, fun and genuine - exactly what one wants when relaxing at the end of the day! My best wishes to you and the rest of the team - I hope one day you are able to do another series that brings you to Australia and hope that the die rolls you down yonder to the streets of Sydney! With warm regards Sandy Cousens Russell and Shaun I've recently discovered your show on Discovery Channel - I think its brilliant. Hope you can carry on and do more wonderful programmes. Give me a call if the dice ever brings you to The Wirral (north-west England, UK). Thanks Jolly John RUSS & SHAUN your show is the best, mind you here in Australia we don't get to see it until 11pm our time. we ,being my hubby and me, live on the east coast of Australia near Sydney and watch your grand tours every weeknight. its a bummer you cant get the funding to make a new series as we would love you to come and visit us down under. the U.K. is good but us aussies could show you a thing or two about living by the throw of a dice. hope you can get that funding cos we want more. have fun, live large, your aussie buddies. renee and mark. I think you and Sean are the best thing on the box. Love Jenny and Joanna Hi Guys love the revamped page. We havn't seen it before as we've been computerless for over a year. The first thing we did was type in your address. It's a joy to be back in contact. Still not managed to convince the powers that be to run another series then? Always said the ones at the top are out of touch with us real people!!! Wait 'til we win the lottery, then we'll fund it for you and show them just how it's done. Hope you're both well and in training for when the call to entertain us again comes through. Keep Rolling. Julie & Ian Taylor, Sunny Stockport, Cheshire.xxxxxxx Russell and Sean, Are there any plans to put your adventures onto video or DVD? I'm absolutely certain that they would sell, and would probably finance more adventures in places like the Southern hemisphere. Plus, they would make good birthday presents saving me from having to use my imagination too much. We Love your programme Russell and Shaun but need some new adventures. It has been suggested before but please come to Australia and make a new series. Well done and best wishes Phil & Elaine Perth WA hello russel and shaun, iam 19 and from belfast and love the show i wish i could buy diceman on video, please give us more.from scott ewing Boys, Love the show. I've only been watching for about three months on Austar and I'm hooked. I've been trying to find out where you are so I can come and carry the bags. After checking out the website I cannot believe that Discovery has not proceeded with further series. I am going to abuse them with a great tirade so that they might keep you on. What a great show! Larry, New South Wales, Australia Hi Russell, I love your Diceman series and just wondered if you had ever thought of releasing them on DVD as I know I would certainly buy them Cheers mate Les Black Just wanted to say what a fantasitic show The Diceman is. Travel show with a difference, and one where you get to "see the sights" as opposed to presenters showing nothing but the beach and the best night club in town. Hope you get a new series under way soon. We here in Cwmavon are huge fans of the "Diceman" is there any chance you could send us a Signed Photo of the legend himself "Russell Harris" ? We would really appreciate it. In fact I and friends have written over 20 e-mails to discovery requesting a new series. hi to all just wanted to say what a great idea the show is...enjoy watching everytime keep up the good work if your ever in lincolnshire...come see us in scunthorpe phil Hi Anychance of a seies 5 of the Diceman its an excellent show and worthy of even a primetime tv slot not hidden away on discovery.? Thanks Kev Pilgrim Wow ! I love this show. Is great. I hope you're shooting next series now. Greets from Poland !!! Can you please tell me when a new series of the Diceman will be shown. Over the last few series I have really grown to like this and I think it would be good to see them do one say raoun South Africa or Australia where they haven't done one. Travel programs you show are good but they lack that one thing which is chance and the diceman has that. man people go on holiday its all planned and then it all goes wrong and they haven't a cluie what to do. Well the diceman could give a whole new way of travel. Lets see what the guys at Discovery can do and I look forward to a new series. Regards John Johnson Isle of Man Shaun and Russell, There is more back slapping gushing praise on this fanpage than I have seen anywhere, and that is simply down to what you have achieved on The Diceman. Having seen every series, and certain episodes heaven knows how many times now, the simplicity and freedom is an inspiration to us all. You deserve every single little bit of praise, and I just want to say my personal thanks. I can't say my quitting of my job and emigrating to Spain is wholly down to you, but after years of looking at the outside world through different eyes on The Diceman I like to think you had some part to play! If you are ever on the Costa del Sol, pop into a nightclub called La Fabrica Paraiso in Benalmadena marina and I will be happy to serve you both. Peter formerly Kent, but now Benalmadena, Malaga) Hi Russell & Shaun, Simply put, the Diceman is the best show on tv. I have managed to convert two of my friends, and they now watch every episode. But please, please please can you make a new series. All the best. Paul Thomas, Port Talbot. Hi Guys Thanks for a great programme that has been both funny, entertaining and informative. I've only subscibed to cable for a few months and The Diceman is my firm favourite on the Discovery Channel. I find the travel method inspiring and practical for decision making - on a recent trip to Amsterdam the dice helped us make up our minds on which bars to go, a la Diceman! Often through the show I've seen places I either wouldn't have thought of going or had never heard of! I think Australia would be a good place to do next (if you get the opportunity). I'd love to see another series - so keep pestering the folks at Discovery. Thanks to you both Russell and Shaun. Kind Regards Robert Cains PS I'm not sure about that lilac Lacoste polo shirt, it's so bad I had to buy one!. PPS If you're ever in Norwich on a Saturday afternoon I'll be in the Horse and Dray Pub on Ber Street, not much of a pub but they serve a great pint of Adnams Bitter and the pork scratchings aren't bad either! PPPS Hope the email to Discovery helps Hi Discovery I started subscribing to cable a few months ago and going through the various channels looking for programmes I thought would be interesting to me. I knew that many of the programmes on the Discovery Channel would be the sort of thing I'd like and by chance I noticed in the schedule a programme called The Diceman. After the first viewing I've been hooked and I've got my wife into it, and I've talked about it so much to my mates they're all watching it. The Diceman gives a very different flavour to travel with the random chance factor removing the predictability that can dog some other travel shows. The Diceman is also very intimate, the fact that only two people are involved in the on the spot production adds a perspective of travel that's missing from a lot of travel programmes. I've watched many travel programmes on Discovery (and other channels) and the Diceman is one I return to again and again. I could do with a new series and I would recommend Australia, send the guys there! My wife and I have just returned from a holiday there and found the cities and country ideally suited to having a dice to help us make up our minds as to what to do! So please could we have another series? regards Robert Cains Hey Russell and Shaun, I don't know if you intended to reach such a diverse range of people throughout the world, but you did, and I am pleased to say that I have watched every episode that has been broadcasted on the Discovery channel in Australia. Even though I have to wait till 11pm at night to watch it, I am still watching it, even though they are repeats. Good on boys. Australia would love to see you, and I hope you two make it down here some time, cause I would be pleased to be your chauffer in Brisbane, where I have just moved. I will bloody well tell the discovery channel to give you a new show, or the budgetory costs to produce another show with unlimited travelling expenses. Keep up the good work and get back to me, cause the two of you should be recognised for your efforts and endeavours. All the best. Luke Hannah, Brisbane, Australia P.S. I've only just turned 21 and hope to travel, where do you suggest? Anywhere in particular. What was your favourite place to go you two, and no home doesn't count. Haha! Take care Hey Russell and Shaun, I don't know if you intended to reach such a diverse range of people throughout the world, but you did, and I am pleased to say that I have watched every episode that has been broadcasted on the Discovery channel in Australia. Even though I have to wait till 11pm at night to watch it, I am still watching it, even though they are repeats. Good on boys. Australia would love to see you, and I hope you two make it down here some time, cause I would be pleased to be your chauffer in Brisbane, where I have just moved. I've only just turned 21 and hope to travel, where do you suggest? Anywhere in particular. What was your favourite place to go you two, and no home doesn't count. Haha! Take care Shaun/Russell, I 'discovered' the show a few months ago and now can't get enough - even the other half who normally dismisses 'my programmes' is a keen viewer!!!! Our Tivo (PVR..... Digital video recorder) has been programmed to seek out and record your show whenever it is broadcast. I've emailed Discovery saying I want more. I'm a keen biker (BMW R1100RT) so really enjoyed your biking journey in Scotland and Harley ride in the USA. Just watched the 'Diceman loses it rock climbing' episode and have to say, Russel I respect you for allowing that part of the show to go out. You come across as a very genuine person and I feel you would be an asset to any program on TV that requires a presenter who viewers can relate to. Shaun, I know nothing about TV camera work but you seem to have a knack of creating some stunning shots from the random situations you come across... Hope you manage to get the go ahead for future series soon. Regards Niall Guiver PS. Weird Idea #265. How about a web based version. Web 'viewers' subscribe to a daily diary created by you guys. Each day, as well as filming your activities you post a diary on the web so that fans can see how you're getting on ??? Probably a stupid idea but you never know. Hi Russell, Just thought I would drop you a note to say how much I still enjoy your show. I must have seen each episode at least 3 times but still I find them very enjoyable. I look forward to a new series and hope that it gets off the ground soon. Have you thought about putting the series out on video ??? Best wishes to you, your family and Shaun. Paul. Runcorn, Cheshire ( just down the road from you ....I think ???!!!) Hi Russell and Shaun, I think your program is brilliant, keep up the good work. Hope you are going to make a new series soon. Martin Paris What a great series, I am watching it on the Discovery Channel here in Australia. We are coming over to the UK in July for a month, and the ideas the series have given us are great. Are the series available out on DVD or VHS video. I hope the next series gets off the ground..well done guys... Steve I can't tell you how many times I've sat here in my little cubicle office, staring out the window (can you believe I get one?), and wishing I could just take off like Russell and Shaun did on the Diceman Series. Unfortunately, the narrow minds at Discovery Channel have apparently sold their souls to Wayne Newton, because all we get anymore is Las Vegas. Sorry for the rambling, but I would love to get my hands on this series. Is there any way I can purchase the Diceman series? I have talked it up so much to my friends, I imagine they'd be in the market, too. There a millions of us who may not know it, but who NEED the wanderlust of the Diceman to make it through one more dreary day. Please let me know if it is currently available for purchase, and if not, the feasibility of it EVER being available. Thanks, and please don't give up trying to get your fantastic programming back on the air. - Greg Dear Russell and Sean (you cutie you), I have to tell you that you both really ROCK ! No way, i dont beleive how you do what you both do, you are both legends! I have to tell you i SO want to be the one doing your web site though, i watch your show enuff that i really could do the updates off the top of my head, the only show i didnt see was the one where you were in Newcastle. Anyway keep up the fantastic work, come to Australia and do "The Diceman does Australia!"... Keep up the BRILLIANT works fella's and i SOOOOO want to meet you both, (specially Sean ;o) the cutie ) Lisa (aka Velvetelle) Dear Russell, I am an absolute fan of the Diceman,i loved watching it and still do. If i could please have a signed pic from you i would be really grateful indeed. Your show was just so original and different, not boring, exciting, and well you are just so lovely and friendly and i would have loved to have met you and Shaun on your travels. Regards, Lorraine .xxx Dear Russel an Shaun me and my husband just love your programms.please, please give us more. we watches you in sweden and we got so many good ideas from you. the next hollidays we will do just like you, but just filming for fun. whit love and hugs from anita and joul have been watching your show and thought it was absolutly great have just finished watching the irish one and thought how much i have missed and i have been there 3 times so get the discovery people to change their minds and get another series on NOW FAN England Diceman USA has just been on TV this past 2/3 weeks on Discovery Home and Leisure Channel at around 7:30a.m! I have never seen your programme before but thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the best travel show I have ever seen. Please try and persuade someone to make somemore! I taped most of the programmes because my husband and I love America and want to visit as many places as possible. In May we are visiting Arizona and have already booked the white water rafting trip you took with Shaun down the Colarado River! Many thanks again for a great programme. Regards Helen Richards, Penkridge, Staffordshire UK Hi Russell/ Shaun, Been a fan of your programme for ages now, via Sky TV, but didn't realise you had a web site. Had a read through it and not surprised to learn what talented and multi facetted chaps you are, knew I'd seen you somewhere before. My sons always thought my attraction to the programme was a little sad, but I'm proud to say I have at least one of them hooked now, especially when you are on the motorbikes, and I'm working on the other one. I guess we are totally out of date here, but you must do further programmes, and get it on to main stream TV if you can, sure as hell beats the run of the mill travel programmes they churn out. The whole thing about living your life in such a random manner must appeal to the 40 somethings out there, but as we can't do it in real life, at least we can share that enjoyable possibility with you. Your prog has even tempted me into reading the book you mention on your site. All the best with your future ventures, and hope to see a new series very soon, Oh! and come to the Lake District, I can't remember a programme based there on your previous episodes. John, Andrew, and yet to be converted Kevin. Hi guys My girlfriend, Greer, and I love your show and never miss it. It's only on for half an hour every Sunday at 1pm on the Lifestyle Channel on Foxtel, Sydney. Yes, we are from Sydney Australia and would love you both to come down under please !!!!! We could show you around Sydney or we could send you information if that's more convenient. But, above all, we would love to meet you. My girlfriend has been in a wheelchair for a few years with MS and is only 48 yrs old. Plus this show is the only way she can see some of the world through your eyes. We have watched you travelling through England, northern Europe and the States and it's fascinating what you both get up to, as well as meeting interesting people. So if I travel where you have I'll know what to expect. Good onyas. So, keep up the great work and we'll be looking forward to your next series wherever that is in the world. Best wishes Leoniev Dear Russell and Shaun, I love this show very much! And I like you, Russell and Shaun. very very very much!!!! Please, keep in the cause of everything that happens with the Diceman. Good luck. Lena. Russia. Hi Russel and Sean, Just a quick hello and to let you know that you have made a fantastic programme, and I wish you all the luck in the world on getting another series up and running. I have just watched your last series in which you were in the U.S.A. One of my main reason's for watching is that you show places that the so-called holiday programme's don't show, which to me is what a holiday programme should be like. Anyway take care both and hope to see you again very soon, but please try to make the programme's last for an hour this time :-). Andy.. P.S..If your ever in North Wales give me a bell if you need a lift or place to stay.. Dear Russell, Thank you very much for the photograph, I'm sorry that I haven't replied sooner, but I only see my Dad every weekend and I always forget to write to you, but he's told me that if I dont reply back to you today he's going to make me a pink bobble hat........! I have attached a picture of me which my Dad just took after playing footie outside I'm ok, but he's out of breath... he's too old. My Dad asked me to ask you if anymore Diceman are being made ?. What are you doing now ?. Thank you again for the photo and i'll send another one when i'm at my Dad's again Thank you Daniel Mallender To Russell and Shaun, Hi! I really love Diceman enough to spend my Saturday nights at home rather than at the pub. I think you should have a competition for someone (like a veiwer) to win a trip along with you guys. Or celebrity Diceman!!! Anyhow keep it up mate. Gary ( Western Australia) PS My flatmate wants Shauns phone number Hi Russell & Shaun Just to let you know that my 4 year old son, Dylan is one of your biggest fans. So much so, that he even stops riding his bike (which he's just learnt to do without stabilisers), to come in and watch your programme. Dylan and I come from Clayton-le-Moors in Lancashire and wonder whether you have ever filmed around here? We stumbled across your programme by accident and now we are hooked. Thank you for such an entertaining series. Dylan gets most upset when your series come to an end. Good luck in getting recommissioned. Russell & Shaun It's been 2-years now since watching your show. You will never know how much you helped me through the winter of 2000! I underwent major surgery and that left me house bound in the worst months of a Wisconsin Winter. I would have written at that time but could never find your site and believe me I tried! You two travelers gave me something to look forward too everyday and my thanks cannot be expressed enough. Although I have recovered 100%, I still have the memories of you two galavanting around the world and taking us with you with every roll of the die! At the end of my recovery the Discovery Channel made a very bad move and took your show off the air! Even though I viewed every episode at least twice, I never grew tired of watching! Can we expect another go-around in the future? I would ceratinly think that you could create a primetime 1-hour show, deliver it to the states here and be very successful. Hope to hear from someone from the show and as always, the best of everything to you and yours! Once Again, THANK YOU! Russell Gruner WI. USA DEAR RUSSEL AND SEAN THANKS FOR THE MOST ORIGINAL TRAVEL SHOW ON TV. PLEASE GIVE US MORE. SEE YOU SOON IN LEEDS? RONA AND RICHARD WHARTON Russell and Shaun, Your show is amazing, four brilliant series - I'm crossing my fingers for a fifth! Stephen, Middlesbrough - UK. hi Russell just to let you know that i think you're program is very good and entertaining. I look foreward to seeing a new one soon. Keep up the good work. D.Smith Hartlepool My wife and I used to catch the show when we were living back in my hometown of Perth, Western Australia. We loved it. It was a weekly ritual watching the show. Also, since my folks are from the UK and I lived there for 5-years, I loved explaining all the towns etc to the wife. The one thing that does sadden me is that we moved back to the States before seeing the final series where you travelled across America. My wife is a native of Sweet Home Alabama and I am sure she would have got a kick out of seeing your prospective on the region. Maybe someday. What I would like to know is if there is any plan to release a video or dvd set? I understand you shot a tonne of footage and I am sure we would all love to see the extended versions of the episodes. Hope to see a new season sometime soon. Dave PS Many years ago my Dad told me about a book he read. It was a story about a man who made his decisions based on rolling a dice. It wasn’t until I looked up the website that I saw the name of the show and the theme of that book were more than just a coincidence. remember watching this show in 1999. I just graduated design school and was in a rut as to where I would move to get a job. I watched Series 2-4 and LOVED it!! Becuase of you guys, I threw my hands up and said "I'll get a job later" and traveled around England(my first time out of the USA)I loved every dime(shilling) spent on that trip, thanks to your random travels. I think this show should come back into play and inspire more people to travel(safe places) and help the economy. good luck and hope to hear more from you. Hi I loved the show and have just watched the whole 4 series . Will you be producing a new series in the future. How are ya Russel and Shaun, hi this is steven. Where have you guys been? When are you going to make your new series? How is life treating you? are you guys still alive plz give me a msg so i know you guys are still living. I have also emailed discovery insisting that they host your new episodes, i hope they listen. I know you get told this a thousand times but you guys must be the luckiest people on the planet to have this job. I really love your show and i would be very sad if you stop making more shows. email me plz i would really like to hear from you guys again. Dear Dicemen I was channel surfing one night on an Australian pay TV channel called Lifestyle and saw this guy throwing a dice. I kept watching and after a while I was hooked. What a fantastic concept for a travel show. Well done Russell!! Let's hope the powers that be come to the party and award Little Planet pictures a fifth series. And let's hope you come to Australia, the capabilities down here are endless, it's such a big place. Good Luck and let's hope we all see series five on our screens in the not to distant future. Kind Regards Andrew Clacher Brisbane, Australia Hi guys, Just wanted to say how much myself and my family love to watch the show!! I see you haven't updated for a while?? New series?? Anyway should you ever be in the Nottingham vacinity and need a place to stop over just drop us a line!! Keep up the excellent work and we can't wait for new episodes!! Cheers Lyndsey (Notts) Take care and enjoy it!! Hi Russell and Shaun My wife and I discovered your show in mid 2001 on the Lifestyle pay TV channel in Australia, and we absolutely loved it. We were in the throes of planning our first trip to the UK at that time and found a lot of your material informative and fascinating. We have since visited England and Scotland in August 2001 and we want to go back. Now that we have seen more of your shows we are even more keen to revisit the British Isles. We loved the countryside, the history, the villages and towns, the B&Bs, the people we met, and believe it or not, also the beer. That's a major confession coming from an Aussie, but the bitters and ales are an adventure waiting to be discovered whenever you arrive at a new destination in Britain. I can't wait to get back and see some of Wales and Ireland and more of Scotland (west country in particular) and England. Its sad to see Discovery have not recommissioned more shows, but I hope they do again some day (soon). It would be marvellous if you could get to Australia, but you'll probably need a bigger budget to cover the travelling required between destinations. Then again, the exchange rate from the Brits point of view is pretty good when coming to Oz (about 3:1). If you couldn't get out here another series of the British Isles would be great as you have only just scratched the surface in the series you've done so far. Whenever I hear your theme song it takes me back to the UK and I can lose myself for half an hour, immersed in great memories. Good luck to you both for the future and I'll continue to monitor your web site for any updates of upcoming series (here's hoping). Meanwhile, "Gonna throw the dice wherever it lands......" Cheers Terri and Trevor Bown, Adelaide, South Australia Dear Russell and Shaun, you guys have made the best t.v. show on earth and you desrve a Oscar award or something. I live in Adelaide, Australia and for you information it is not near Sydney it's in South Australia. I think you guys have enough energy to make another series. Think of all the fun you'll have again and the laughs as well. The cheer you bring to all your fans and by the sounds of it you have lots. I tell you what come on down to Australia and make another series here and start from my house. the address is .... Russell you are the man so go on make us proud. but if you can't i understand that you might have alot of things to do in life and that's fine by my, but it would be good see you boys on the road again. From, Daniel Nankivell, 16 years old. P.S. It's all up to the dice. Hi Guys, I have to say that I am now watching various episodes of The Diceman for the fifth or sixth time. Discovery are happy to re-run Diceman USA and early episodes on a daily basis and to be honest it's killing me. Surly if they hold the programme in such high esteem as they do to show and repeat it so often then why not commission a new series. It's quite obvious by now that the Beeb are not interested especially with so much cooking and gardening to be done and let's not forget the odd ridiculous room make over show....Good Lord preserve us. So what's to be done eh...come on you so called TV exec's wake up and get with it and for Christ's sake put your money into a new series, let's face it, it's very entertaining, educational, funny, informative and most of all cheap to make. Sunday's between 5 & 6 o'clock were designed for this type of programme, so come on and make a lot of people happy and commission a new series, failing that with all the spare rushes perhaps you could do the directors cut !!! Mike Morrison Kent... Dear Russell and Shaun, My family and I have been watching The Diceman almost on 2 years now, and we love every bit of it. We discovered your show whilst flicking through the channels on FOXtel, and havent looked back as one would say. We have watched every episode but a few and followed your adventures ritually. The Lifestyle Channel previously aired Diceman twice a week, but now it is aired daily, my parents tape it for my sister and I as it shows when we are still at school. 11.00pm, when it is aired again, is just a bit too late and im usually half asleep. Hehehe. Anyway, we are eagerly awaiting your NEXT SERIES (hint hint) and hope that one day you guys will tour down under, maybe we'll even meet sometime. Keep up the great work and we hope to see at least a few more series (double hint hint) Thanks for the ever-so-addictive show. Kind Regards, Ben Taylor, Age 16. Frank Taylor, Age 45. Tracy Taylor, Age 40. Megan Taylor, Age 14. Little Old Ourimbah, NSW, Australia Hi Russell & Shaun.. Just wanted to say that your programs re Sedona R66 and Monument valley were the first we have seen that really do justice to these wonderful areas of the American west. My wife and I get over to the states and keep returning to those awesome panoramas, its an experience not to be missed.. You and Shaun felt the same way as we do Im sure. We have also driven through Oak creek canyon many times....wow! thanks to you both enjoyed those episodes immensely.....John and Lin ps going again in May Dear Russell and Shaun, My son Daniel and I get up at 6.50am to make lots of tea, in time to watch the show at 7.am, the best start to the day a cuppa and the Diceman, please make another series soon, or breakfast wont be the same! yours. Suzie Mancey. Dear all at the diceman, I'm not sure how current this site is but if possible I'd appreciate this being passed onto Mr Russell Harris. I wanted to say how much I've enjoyed the show, it had a real impact for me when I returned from Bali in late 2000 only to have the worst period of illness I've ever experienced, for 2 weeks I was immobile, the diceman, as now, was being shown daily it became such a positive focus each day providing an interest point and a refreshing break from the routine of the day, I can't do justice to the whole scenario without sounding slightly obsessed, but I did want to say thanks for a great show, still enjoying the repeats and to the horror of my girlfriend I sing along to the theme tune every time I see the show. All the best Dominic. Hi my name is Brian Gardner, i'm from Wetherby (near Harrogate)and i just wanted to write to say thankyou. In a mere five days i'm heading out on a 'marathon journey' as you would put it, around the world. While i conceed that it was originally that Palin bloke that got me started wanting to travel your four series of the Diceman have kept me going through the past five years of University etc. Get those fools at Discovery told that we need another series becuase as much as i love the old ones i want to see new adventures! I hope by the time that i finish diceing around the world that i can come home to watch Russell and Shaun on the road again travelling with a twist. Thanks for the inspiration and please never quit. Brian. hello, I'm writing you from Australia. My flatmates and I can't believe that after this episode 4 of the Diceman there will be no more? What are we going to do now? It's all we watch on tv? we are all old travellers ourselves... the wit, intelligence, general feel good mentality without being cheezy (really hard to do that, to get that right!)is the highlight of our year- please tell russell and Shaun, we need them to come downunder and do a series- should we start a major petition, would that do it????? let us know what we can do- we love the show- Kindest regards from Downunder, Andrew Burge and friends Sydney, Australia Dear Russell & Shaun, Have just found the Diceman on the lifestyle channel in Australia, it is truly great, you both do a fantastic job. It is refreshing to see a travel show that is not contrived, and where the presenters, and cameraman!! are both of a friendly, amiable, well mannered and humorous. I could be bit biased on the account that I am also from Harrogate. Keep up the good work. Mark Taglietti Melbourne Australia. |
