I must tell you, u r so cute! And to think we never knew you were hiding away there on the Discovery channel! I think they should give your show a really good advertising plug, I bet there are loads of people who would really enjoy it but just don't know it! I think it would make a great BBC programme too, up there alongside their dinosaur and nature programmes. I skipped the show for years not realising how great it is! I only happened to turn it on by accident and couldn't be bothered to turn over (sorry, but it's true) but after we watched you in Florida that was it! We will never miss another episode! Keep up the good work, and canvas those TV stations, make them take on your show! (Make them send you somewhere really hot and sunny, we could do with seeing a bit more of the diceman!!!)

My life revolves around the time slot that your program is on, normally about 4.p.m in the afternoon, but if we miss that I know it screens again at 5.30am in the morning. I was travelling with a friend over in London and Europe a couple of years ago, and that is why I get a buzz watching your show as it brings back many happy memories. It also inspires me to travel to the places we missed. I would be fantastic if the dice would roll you both an opportunity to travel DOWN UNDER as we have many exotic and beautiful places to see. Gota say boys, that with such a simple yet brilliant idea.....i think the only way you may get another series is that if you were to convert the hotel room you stay in into a pink lace number and maybe cook a meal that nobody personally would have time to prepare......Shaun you'll have to master all those new fast moving snappy shots, that go in an out of focus......sorry to say lads, that although "WE" would love another series, Discovery (much like the B.B.C.) are stuck in the same mind set. Every morning before Jo goes to work she appears at my door and I KNOW that it is time for the Diceman! We use my gym equipment and indulge in dicing with Russell and Shaun simultaneously. I enjoy watching your show on the LifeStyle Channel here in Australia. Have you thought about releasing your series on video/DVD (perhaps this is an additional source of revenue..?). Can you please tell me when a new series of the Diceman will be shown. Over the last few series I have really grown to like this and I think it would be good to see them do one say raoun South Africa or Australia where they haven't done one. Travel programs you show are good but they lack that one thing which is chance and the diceman has that. man people go on holiday its all planned and then it all goes wrong and they haven't a cluie what to do. Well the diceman could give a whole new way of travel. Lets see what the guys at Discovery can do and I look forward to a new series. Regards

Having seen every series, and certain episodes heaven knows how many times now, the simplicity and freedom is an inspiration to us all. You deserve every single little bit of praise, and I just want to say my personal thanks. I can't say my quitting of my job and emigrating to Spain is wholly down to you, but after years of looking at the outside world through different eyes on The Diceman I like to think you had some part to play! Thanks for a great programme that has been both funny, entertaining and informative. I've only subscibed to cable for a few months and The Diceman is my firm favourite on the Discovery Channel. I find the travel method inspiring and practical for decision making - on a recent trip to Amsterdam the dice helped us make up our minds on which bars to go, a la Diceman! Often through the show I've seen places I either wouldn't have thought of going or had never heard of! I think Australia would be a good place to do next (if you get the opportunity). I started subscribing to cable a few months ago and going through the various channels looking for programmes I thought would be interesting to me. I knew that many of the programmes on the Discovery Channel would be the sort of thing I'd like and by chance I noticed in the schedule a programme called The Diceman. After the first viewing I've been hooked and I've got my wife into it, and I've talked about it so much to my mates they're all watching it. The Diceman gives a very different flavour to travel with the random chance factor removing the predictability that can dog some other travel shows. The Diceman is also very intimate, the fact that only two people are involved in the on the spot production adds a perspective of travel that's missing from a lot of travel programmes. I've watched many travel programmes on Discovery (and other channels) and the Diceman is one I return to again and again. I could do with a new series and I would recommend Australia, send the guys there! My wife and I have just returned from a holiday there and found the cities and country ideally suited to having a dice to help us make up our minds as to what to do! So please could we have another series? regards

I 'discovered' the show a few months ago and now can't get enough - even the other half who normally dismisses 'my programmes' is a keen viewer!!!! Our Tivo (PVR..... Digital video recorder) has been programmed to seek out and record your show whenever it is broadcast. I've emailed Discovery saying I want more. I'm a keen biker (BMW R1100RT) so really enjoyed your biking journey in Scotland and Harley ride in the USA. Just watched the 'Diceman loses it rock climbing' episode and have to say, Russel I respect you for allowing that part of the show to go out. You come across as a very genuine person and I feel you would be an asset to any program on TV that requires a presenter who viewers can relate to. Shaun, I know nothing about TV camera work but you seem to have a knack of creating some stunning shots from the random situations you come across... Hope you manage to get the go ahead for future series soon. Regards

I can't tell you how many times I've sat here in my little cubicle office, staring out the window (can you believe I get one?), and wishing I could just take off like Russell and Shaun did on the Diceman Series. Unfortunately, the narrow minds at Discovery Channel have apparently sold their souls to Wayne Newton, because all we get anymore is Las Vegas. Sorry for the rambling, but I would love to get my hands on this series. Is there any way I can purchase the Diceman series? I have talked it up so much to my friends, I imagine they'd be in the market, too. There a millions of us who may not know it, but who NEED the wanderlust of the Diceman to make it through one more dreary day. Please let me know if it is currently available for purchase, and if not, the feasibility of it EVER being available. Diceman USA has just been on TV this past 2/3 weeks on Discovery Home and Leisure Channel at around 7:30a.m! I have never seen your programme before but thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the best travel show I have ever seen. Please try and persuade someone to make somemore! I taped most of the programmes because my husband and I love America and want to visit as many places as possible. Been a fan of your programme for ages now, via Sky TV, but didn't realise you had a web site. Had a read through it and not surprised to learn what talented and multi facetted chaps you are, knew I'd seen you somewhere before. My sons always thought my attraction to the programme was a little sad, but I'm proud to say I have at least one of them hooked now, especially when you are on the motorbikes, and I'm working on the other one. I guess we are totally out of date here, but you must do further programmes, and get it on to main stream TV if you can, sure as hell beats the run of the mill travel programmes they churn out. The whole thing about living your life in such a random manner must appeal to the 40 somethings out there, but as we can't do it in real life, at least we can share that enjoyable possibility with you. Your prog has even tempted me into reading the book you mention on your site. All the best with your future ventures, and hope to see a new series very soon, Oh! and come to the Lake District, I can't remember a programme based there on your previous episodes.

But, above all, we would love to meet you. My girlfriend has been in a wheelchair for a few years with MS and is only 48 yrs old. Plus this show is the only way she can see some of the world through your eyes. We have watched you travelling through England, northern Europe and the States and it's fascinating what you both get up to, as well as meeting interesting people. Just to let you know that my 4 year old son, Dylan is one of your biggest fans. So much so, that he even stops riding his bike (which he's just learnt to do without stabilisers), to come in and watch your programme. Dylan and I come from Clayton-le-Moors in Lancashire and wonder whether you have ever filmed around here? We stumbled across your programme by accident and now we are hooked. It's been 2-years now since watching your show. You will never know how much you helped me through the winter of 2000! I underwent major surgery and that left me house bound in the worst months of a Wisconsin Winter. I would have written at that time but could never find your site and believe me I tried! You two travelers gave me something to look forward too everyday and my thanks cannot be expressed enough. Although I have recovered 100%, I still have the memories of you two galavanting around the world and taking us with you with every roll of the die! At the end of my recovery the Discovery Channel made a very bad move and took your show off the air! Even though I viewed every episode at least twice, I never grew tired of watching! Can we expect another go-around in the future? I would ceratinly think that you could create a primetime 1-hour show, deliver it to the states here and be very successful. My wife and I used to catch the show when we were living back in my hometown of Perth, Western Australia. We loved it. It was a weekly ritual watching the show. Also, since my folks are from the UK and I lived there for 5-years, I loved explaining all the towns etc to the wife. The one thing that does sadden me is that we moved back to the States before seeing the final series where you travelled across America. My wife is a native of Sweet Home Alabama and I am sure she would have got a kick out of seeing your prospective on the region. Maybe someday. What I would like to know is if there is any plan to release a video or dvd set? I understand you shot a tonne of footage and I am sure we would all love to see the extended versions of the episodes. Hope to see a new season sometime soon.

PS Many years ago my Dad told me about a book he read. It was a story about a man who made his decisions based on rolling a dice. It wasn’t until I looked up the website that I saw the name of the show and the theme of that book were more than just a coincidence. remember watching this show in 1999. I just graduated design school and was in a rut as to where I would move to get a job. I watched Series 2-4 and LOVED it!! Becuase of you guys, I threw my hands up and said "I'll get a job later" and traveled around England(my first time out of the USA)I loved every dime(shilling) spent on that trip, thanks to your random travels. I think this show should come back into play and inspire more people to travel(safe places) and help the economy. good luck and hope to hear more from you.

I was channel surfing one night on an Australian pay TV channel called Lifestyle and saw this guy throwing a dice. I kept watching and after a while I was hooked. What a fantastic concept for a travel show. Well done Russell!! Let's hope the powers that be come to the party and award Little Planet pictures a fifth series. And let's hope you come to Australia, the capabilities down here are endless, it's such a big place. Good Luck and let's hope we all see series five on our screens in the not to distant future. My wife and I discovered your show in mid 2001 on the Lifestyle pay TV channel in Australia, and we absolutely loved it. We were in the throes of planning our first trip to the UK at that time and found a lot of your material informative and fascinating. We have since visited England and Scotland in August 2001 and we want to go back. Now that we have seen more of your shows we are even more keen to revisit the British Isles. We loved the countryside, the history, the villages and towns, the B&Bs, the people we met, and believe it or not, also the beer. That's a major confession coming from an Aussie, but the bitters and ales are an adventure waiting to be discovered whenever you arrive at a new destination in Britain. I can't wait to get back and see some of Wales and Ireland and more of Scotland (west country in particular) and England. Its sad to see Discovery have not recommissioned more shows, but I hope they do again some day (soon). It would be marvellous if you could get to Australia, but you'll probably need a bigger budget to cover the travelling required between destinations. Then again, the exchange rate from the Brits point of view is pretty good when coming to Oz (about 3:1). If you couldn't get out here another series of the British Isles would be great as you have only just scratched the surface in the series you've done so far. Whenever I hear your theme song it takes me back to the UK and I can lose myself for half an hour, immersed in great memories. Good luck to you both for the future and I'll continue to monitor your web site for any updates of upcoming series (here's hoping). Meanwhile, "Gonna throw the dice wherever it lands......" Cheers

I have to say that I am now watching various episodes of The Diceman for the fifth or sixth time. Discovery are happy to re-run Diceman USA and early episodes on a daily basis and to be honest it's killing me. Surly if they hold the programme in such high esteem as they do to show and repeat it so often then why not commission a new series. It's quite obvious by now that the Beeb are not interested especially with so much cooking and gardening to be done and let's not forget the odd ridiculous room make over show....Good Lord preserve us. So what's to be done eh...come on you so called TV exec's wake up and get with it and for Christ's sake put your money into a new series, let's face it, it's very entertaining, educational, funny, informative and most of all cheap to make. Sunday's between 5 & 6 o'clock were designed for this type of programme, so come on and make a lot of people happy and commission a new series, failing that with all the spare rushes perhaps you could do the directors cut !!!

My family and I have been watching The Diceman almost on 2 years now, and we love every bit of it. We discovered your show whilst flicking through the channels on FOXtel, and havent looked back as one would say. We have watched every episode but a few and followed your adventures ritually. The Lifestyle Channel previously aired Diceman twice a week, but now it is aired daily, my parents tape it for my sister and I as it shows when we are still at school. 11.00pm, when it is aired again, is just a bit too late and im usually half asleep. Hehehe. Anyway, we are eagerly awaiting your NEXT SERIES (hint hint) and hope that one day you guys will tour down under, maybe we'll even meet sometime. Just wanted to say that your programs re Sedona R66 and Monument valley were the first we have seen that really do justice to these wonderful areas of the American west. My wife and I get over to the states and keep returning to those awesome panoramas, its an experience not to be missed.. You and Shaun felt the same way as we do Im sure. I'm not sure how current this site is but if possible I'd appreciate this being passed onto Mr Russell Harris. I wanted to say how much I've enjoyed the show, it had a real impact for me when I returned from Bali in late 2000 only to have the worst period of illness I've ever experienced, for 2 weeks I was immobile, the diceman, as now, was being shown daily it became such a positive focus each day providing an interest point and a refreshing break from the routine of the day, I can't do justice to the whole scenario without sounding slightly obsessed, but I did want to say thanks for a great show, still enjoying the repeats and to the horror of my girlfriend I sing along to the theme tune every time I see the show. Hi my name is Brian Gardner, i'm from Wetherby (near Harrogate)and i just wanted to write to say thankyou. In a mere five days i'm heading out on a 'marathon journey' as you would put it, around the world. While i conceed that it was originally that Palin bloke that got me started wanting to travel your four series of the Diceman have kept me going through the past five years of University etc. Get those fools at Discovery told that we need another series becuase as much as i love the old ones i want to see new adventures! I hope by the time that i finish diceing around the world that i can come home to watch Russell and Shaun on the road again travelling with a twist. Thanks for the inspiration and please never quit.
